ASSISTANT INFORMATION UNIT OFFICER AT PENANG CHIEF MINISTER'S OFFICE
I currently work as the assistant information unit officer at Bahagian Penerangan Pejabat Ketua Menteri. The responsibilities include attending press conferences by the Penang Chief Minister and his line-up of EXCOs, state assemblymen and other state representatives. Furthermore, I am also part of the publicity team, which consist of several other members, responsible to plan and execute publicity-related activities. I was also given the honour to helm another important role which is to be one of the colleagues in charge of work schedule. Among other roles include interviewing prominent and famous Penangites who have made it big in the market, and writing feature pieces on them.

SPECIAL MEDIA OFFICER @ PENANG STATE GOVERNMENT
I worked for the EXCO for Housing, Local Government and Town & Country Planning. The role mainly involved writing press statements, media liaising, filming, editing and posting videos on social media. I was also responsible for liaising with the 3 departments mentioned above to collect data for preparation of press conferences. Apart from that, I have also designed banners for publicity purposes for both print and online and mainly done during festivals, major state events and so on.

I handle on campus events, industry visits, industry talks by professionals, social media updates (if necessary). I attend all those said events, jot down important quotes by the important people and write articles about it. My job also includes active posting in social media for all those visits, talks and other events. Apart from all those mentioned, I also actively conduct research with my content team on countries abroad for a possible collaboration in terms of students exchange programs, industry visits or exploring opportunities of expanding campuses abroad.

Community Relations Officer@ Penang Adventist Hospital
Here, I was attached under the Charity Department and job responsibilities includes, fundraising, donations, newsletters, press releases, social media and organizing charity events. I was also in charge of pitching ideas to various companies about the noble initiatives by the hospital, mainly seeking for their kind, generous involvement in the form of donations or volunteering.
